CREATIVE STATEMENT
I have a secret. People aren’t nearly as fun to illustrate as animals are. Tiger stripes and leopard spots catch an eye faster than skin — especially with unexpected color palettes. And as an illustrator with several published books under my belt, I make sure there’s a story in each piece I create.

Q&A
What animal do you most relate to?
A pescatarian leopard. I refuse to eat a gazelle.
What animal is the most fun to draw?
Anything crocodilian. They’re little tanks with teeth and have personality for days.
Which do you prefer: cats or dogs?
Give me a pack of dogs any day of the week. Beagles to the front of the line, please.
