CREATIVE STATEMENT
As an illustrator and designer, I've always had an interest in expanding my creative knowledge and skills. I added "muralist" to that list of skills in 2017, when I had the opportunity to create several vinyl murals for higher education client, Shenandoah University. In 2023, I further developed this large-scale skill when I started hand-painting murals with Paint Love, a trauma-informed arts education nonprofit. Working with clients and community members and watching a mural project progress from small concept sketches to designs on a screen and then finally to a projected and painted public mural, is a thrill. By installing illustrative murals, I'm able to bring light, joy, and color to community spaces that often need them the most.

Q&A
What is the largest mural you ever made?
The largest mural I've ever made was a building wrap with a total size of 160ft x 40ft. The largest painted mural I've installed of my own design was 50ft x 10ft. That being said, I've also been able to install 200ft x 30ft building-scale mural projects!
Which do you prefer: hand-painting or vinyl graphics?
Although I have experience making both types of murals, I absolutely love hand-painting murals. Being a part of the hand-painted installation process really connects you with the final product.
What would be your dream mural job?
I would love to paint a large scale mural in a large public space in my home city of Atlanta, whether that be for the MARTA public transit, the Georgia Aquarium, the Children's Hospital of Atlanta, or the side of a towering Atlanta skyscraper on one of our main highways!
