CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in greeting cards began when I was a child. I still have a shoebox full of cards from my childhood ranging from funny to sweet. I love how much sentiment greeting cards carry and their ability to make snail mail so special. For me, the most important qualities of a successful card illustration are charm, wit, and a striking palette. I love to create bespoke cards that will hopefully live a long life in someone’s old sentimental shoebox.

Q&A
What is your favorite occasion to illustrate?
I have a soft spot for haunted houses and Christmas. I’m waiting for the ultimate dream mash-up project!
Which card do you still keep on your desk?
A Valentine from 1910 that my mom sent me. It has an artist’s palette on the front and someone wrote a message about cats on the back.
What is the most unique card you ever created?
I made my mom a cut paper Mother’s Day card of a giant heart-shaped locket with changeable photos on the inside.
