CREATIVE STATEMENT

I love illustrating for children. I love visual storytelling and crafting ideas that transcend reality. My favourite part of the process is when I bring my ideas onto my sketchbook. My fascination for this craft grew when my toddler started reading picture books. What I love most is in knowing that these illustrations may kindle a lifelong appreciation for art and literature, leaving an everlasting mark on the hearts of young readers.

Which authors do you admire most?
Eric Carle, Chris Chatterton, Rod Campbell

What characteristic really brings a children’s book to life?
The playfulness of colours, the character design and the world that is created for them to exist. I like to imagine myself existing in the world of the children’s book and see how would I feel.
