CREATIVE STATEMENT

My love of art began in childhood, and I became focused on illustration when I entered the Parsons School of Design. Daily drawing and online courses taught by people like Mike Lowery, Story Tellers Academy, Ingela P Arrhenius, and Illustrators For Hire have improved my work. Every time I take a class, I leave learning a new skill and feel more connected to the industry. I specialize in editorial illustrations. I nurture this focus by keeping current with the world's news. While working quickly, I like to step away and revisit my illustrations, ensuring I have made the best design choices. Hence, my art reads well to my audience because the essential qualities of a successful illustration are good design and a clear message.
