CREATIVE STATEMENT
Being a food illustrator combines my love of food, art, family, friends and sharing! Food is life! My interest in food illustration started when I began cooking for friends at university which led to my obsession with collecting beautifully illustrated cookery books. What I love the most about food illustration is the opportunity to communicate flavour, culture and emotion in an image. I believe successful food illustration should meet the clients brief whilst being deliciously engaging and clear. To maintain my skillset I have a daily drawing practice and I continue to explore both traditional and digital drawing techniques.

What fruit or vegetable do you most love to illustrate?
I love to illustrate tomatoes, round and shiny and all the reds!
What is your comfort food?
Potato in all it’s forms! Especially crispy, hot baked potatoes.
What is your favorite beverage?
Tea, all year round! In the summer, Iced Lime, Angostura bitters and soda.
