CREATIVE STATEMENT
As a botanical illustrator, I find immense freedom and creative flexibility in capturing the intricate beauty of florals and plants. Through a variety of commissioned projects, I have honed my expertise in botanical illustration, constantly expanding my knowledge by researching different species and their symbolic meanings. My inspiration comes from observing the movement and growth of plants, translating these observations into vibrant, dynamic images that capture their essence in both their natural environments and surreal scenarios. To ensure authenticity and depth in my work, I frequently visit botanical gardens and take nature walks, gathering firsthand references that inform my understanding of their energy. This ongoing exploration allows me to stay connected to the natural world while refining my skills to create dynamic, evocative botanical illustrations.

Q&A
Which flower do you draw the most?
Daffodils because they are the most beautiful announcement of spring and bougainvilleas as they remind me my childhood garden.
What grows in your garden?
I don't have a garden, but I strive to keep pollinator-friendly flowers on my balcony from spring to autumn like lavender, geraniums and petunias.
What do flowers symbolize to you?
Magic. I am always in awe in their variety, properties, shapes and colours, it is an endless world of possibilities.
